2022 AZ Mixed Stix – Our First Official State Golf Tournament Together
We’d been dating and playing golf for a couple years now. So we decided to take our relationship to the next level, an official state tournament!
The Arizona Mixed Stix Championship was held in Sedona, AZ at the beautiful Oak Creek Country Club.

This two-day tournament requires that each team must have one female amateur golfer and one male amateur who each have an official USGA handicap. We both established our golf handicaps by playing in the Men’s and Women’s clubs at Papago Golf Club.

We made a weekend of it by going up early to play a practice round, hang with our friends and met some great new couples.

Long story short, we played two-days, Nicole didn’t realize the level of competition until the 34th hole but we somehow managed the win! See the full results here.
