2023 AGA Mixed Stix – We Won Again!
We started playing golf together on our second date and it took a couple years but when we entered our first AGA (Arizona Golf Association) state tournament we certainly were not expecting much to happen. As luck would have it, we won our flight and that was just the start of building many new friendships with other amazing golf couples.

But as we entered 2023 we had a little more pressure to do well. I mean technically we were defending champs! One thing that freaked the Mrs out was realizing on the 35th hole of the tournament that this was an official state competition. If you know her, you’ll know how easy it was to hide that from her and keep her distracted … SQUIRREL!!!
For the event we like to go up a day ahead to play a practice round with friends, this time it was 5 couples that joined us, then have a celebratory kickoff dinner at our favorite place, Rotten Johnny’s Pizza. At the end of day one we were again tied for the lead and for the second time in as many years we won our flight!
