Article I. Name and Affiliation

1.1 Name
The name of the organization shall be Mr & Mrs Golf Club, referred to in these bylaws as “the Club.”

1.2 Affiliation
The Club is affiliated with the Arizona Golf Association (AGA) and agrees to comply with all applicable AGA policies, procedures, and requirements, including those related to handicap administration.


Article II. Purpose of Our Couples Golf Club in Arizona

Mr & Mrs Golf Club exists to create a vibrant golf community for couples in Arizona. Our purpose is to:

Article IV. Membership Options

4.1 Who Can Join Our Couples Golf Club
As Arizona’s premier couples golf club, membership is open to anyone who shares our passion for golf and community. We welcome individuals, couples, and anyone interested in playing golf in a supportive, social environment. All members must meet Arizona Golf Association eligibility requirements. Article V. Club Leadership

5.1 Required Leadership Roles
In accordance with Arizona Golf Association requirements, the Club shall maintain the following leadership roles:

  • Club Delegate or Representative
  • Treasurer
  • Handicap Chair

5.2 Duties

Club Delegate or Representative
Serves as the primary point of contact with the Arizona Golf Association, represents the Club in official matters, and oversees general Club administration and communications.

Treasurer
Manages Club finances, including collection of dues, payment of expenses, and maintenance of accurate financial records.

Handicap Chair
Oversees handicap administration, ensures compliance with Arizona Golf Association and World Handicap System guidelines, and serves as the primary contact for handicap-related matters.

5.3 Terms and Role Combination
Leadership roles shall be held for one-year terms and may be renewed. One individual may hold more than one leadership role if necessary.


Article VI. Meetings and Activities

6.1 Meetings
Meetings may be held as needed to conduct Club business. Meetings may be conducted in person or virtually.

6.2 Club Activities
The Club may organize golf events, social outings, and other activities consistent with its purpose.


Article VII. Handicap Administration and Rules of Play

The Club shall adhere to all Arizona Golf Association and USGA rules governing handicaps and competition.

Members are responsible for posting scores in accordance with the World Handicap System. The Handicap Chair shall monitor compliance and address handicap-related questions.


Article VIII. Financial Administration

8.1 Fiscal Year
The fiscal year of the Club shall be January 1 through December 31.

8.2 Use of Funds
Club funds shall be used solely for Club operations, events, administrative costs, and fees required for Arizona Golf Association affiliation.

8.3 Financial Records
Accurate financial records shall be maintained by the Treasurer and made available upon reasonable request.


Article IX. Amendments

These bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds vote of the Regular Members present at a properly noticed meeting. Notice of proposed amendments shall be provided at least ten days in advance.
