Mrs – “Why do you have two putters?”
Mr – “Because the first one doesn’t float.”
When Mr learned that Mrs had never been fit for her clubs, as a former professional fitter, he immediately signed her up for a putter fitting! Why the putter? Because the putter is the most important club in the bag! That’s also why we’re hosting a Putting Clinic!
Is putting your strength or your weakness? Studies have determined that putting comprises between 40 and 45 percent of all strokes taken during a round.
Your putter is your primary scoring club! Therefore, if you improve your putting you will lower your scores! More than you could with the same percentage of improvement in other parts of the game.
You’re invited to the Mr & Mrs Golf – Couples Putting Clinic
Welcome to our couples putting clinic, and congratulations – you have taken the first step in the required commitment to improving your putting and possibly even your relationship!
This clinic is for all levels of players interested in improving their skill set on the putting green. Statistically, more than 1/3 of a round of golf is played from the greens surface.
Not only will this clinic address short putts, lag putts and everything in between, you will also receive the drills to help you improve on your own. This clinic is 60 minutes long and has a student-teacher ratio of no more than 6 to 1.

About McCormick Ranch Golf Club

McCormick Ranch Golf Club holds a special place in our heart, after all, we got married there!

What started nearly 75 years ago as alfalfa fields has since blossomed into one of Arizona’s finest communities. McCormick Ranch was started as an active ranch in 1942 by Merle Cheney and was sold to the McCormicks as the largest ranch located in the City of Scottsdale. Anne Stillman McCormick and her husband Fowler McCormick, grandson of John Rockefeller, continued to expand McCormick Ranch.
By 1949, Anne and Fowler brought 350 of their purebred Black Angus and Ayrshire cattle over from Barrington Farms in Illinois. During that time, Anne purchased an Arabian Stallion, as well as two purebred Mares. After importing these horses from around the globe, she began methodically breeding champion horses. Anne McCormick’s love for Arabian horses put Scottsdale on the map with the Annual Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show that she hosted yearly, on an 80-acre piece of her property called Paradise Park. Every February, the show is now hosted at Westworld of Scottsdale and is the largest Arabian show in the world.
In 1967, the McCormicks donated 100 acres of land to the City of Scottsdale, 30 acres of which were specifically designated as McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park. When Kaiser-Aetna purchased McCormick Ranch in July of 1970, there were 7 square miles on the ranch, with about 600 acres utilized for farming grain products. This was the country’s largest single piece of property sold for a master-planned community within city limits.
McCormick Ranch Golf Club was designed by Desmond Muirhead and opened in 1972 and the courses and dining facilities have been open to the public ever since. Today, McCormick Ranch has grown into a mature community of more than 3,100 acres containing 8,900 homes, condominiums, and apartments, with close to 27,000 residents. In 1979 Edward Pincus purchased McCormick Ranch Golf Club, and to this day, it has remained a family-owned and operated business.

PS – Have You Read Our Favorite Golf Book?
One of our favorite books is Wicked Smart Golf by Michael Leonard. What’s great about the book is how quickly and easy it is to digest the information. Some of Mr’s other favorite golf books tend to be too ‘nerdy’ for many.
In Section III: Peaceful Putting he details data from the best putters, several tips, and drills to make you a better putter.
You can purchase the book on Amazon with this link.
