State #22 is officially complete! ⛳ On our journey to play golf together in all 50 states, we traveled to one of the most iconic golf destinations in the world, Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina. Known as the Cradle of American Golf, Pinehurst is home to 10 championship golf courses, the popular short course The Cradle, and an exciting 11th course currently under development. Whether you're looking for championship golf or a fun afternoon with friends, Pinehurst truly has something for every golfer. For our visit, we teed it up on the historic Pinehurst No. 3, a classic Donald Ross design that proves you don't need length to create a memorable golf experience. Its small greens, strategic layout, and timeless design made for an incredible round. One of the best parts of the trip was sharing the experience with our friends Darcy and Phyllis. Golf has introduced us to amazing people across the country, and Pinehurst was another reminder that the memories you make with friends are just as special as the courses you play. We also had the pleasure of sitting down with Payton Finley, Managing Assistant Golf Professional at Pinehurst Resort, who shared the incredible history of Pinehurst, its championship legacy, and what makes this destination so special for golfers from around the world. Of course, our Challenge Hole tradition continued on Hole #17, and this time Mrs. Golf (Nicole) came away with the victory! 🏆 From exploring the legendary Carolina Hotel, visiting the Payne Stewart statue, walking the grounds of Pinehurst No. 2, and seeing the famous 18th hole where Bryson DeChambeau captured the 2024 U.S. Open, to experiencing the charm of Pinehurst No. 3, this stop quickly became one of our favorite destinations on our 50-state journey. Delaware is officially State #21 on our journey to play golf together in all 50 states, and this stop brought an absolutely stunning vibe! We teed it up at Baywood Greens Golf Course and Clubhouse, a breathtaking oasis in Long Neck, Delaware, that delivers a true "botanical garden" golf experience unlike anything else. What makes this stop so unforgettable is the sheer beauty of the layout. Often described as the "Augusta of the North," Baywood Greens features two distinct nines—the Woodside and the Waterside. Designed by testing architects Ault, Clark & Associates, the course treats you to over 200,000 wildflowers, majestic trees, and stunning water hazards that keep you captivated from the 1st tee to the 18th green. We also had the chance to meet some incredible people who made our Delaware experience even better. Be sure to watch our interview with Tony Hollerback, Director of Golf at Baywood Greens, as he shares what makes this course such a special place to play. We also loved meeting Tim, Rick, and Frank, the trio who help make the Baywood Greens experience unforgettable. From the moment you arrive, they make you feel welcome and provide helpful course tips and advice that set you up for a great round. What made their hospitality even more special was that our round was delayed due to weather, but they worked hard to make it happen for us and gave us the green light to get out and play once conditions improved. Between the outstanding staff and the warm hospitality throughout the property, the Baywood Greens community truly made us feel at home and helped make our day smooth, memorable, and a highlight of our Delaware golf adventure. ⛳ The Course Breakdown Baywood Greens is visually spectacular, but don't let the flowers fool you—it demands your respect. With pristine, rolling fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and water coming into play on numerous holes, precision and smart club selection are everything. This is a course where patience, trust, and playing together really pay off. 🎯 The Signature Hole 17 Challenge One of our favorite traditions continues with our Challenge Hole, where we take on Hole 17 at every course we play. At Baywood Greens, Hole 17 is a thrilling, scenic test. This showdown was an absolute nail-biter! Mrs. had a clutch opportunity to force a tie on the final putt, but it just grazed the edge. That means Mr. walks away with the bragging rights and the win this time! Mrs Golf Birdie Putt Jitters ⛳️
Pennsylvania is officially State #20 on our journey to play golf together in all 50 states, and this one brought a completely different vibe. We teed it up at Wyncote Golf Club, a beautiful countryside course that delivers a true links style experience right in the heart of Pennsylvania. What made this stop even more meaningful was the story behind the course. Wyncote was originally a family dairy farm, transformed into a golf course in 1993 by Jim and Sandy Pepple, and now carried on by their son Nathan Pepple. Designed by architect Brian Ault, the course has a championship heathlands feel with wide open views, natural movement, and a layout that keeps you thinking from start to finish. We also had the chance to meet some incredible people who made the experience even better. We sat down with Rich Lawlor and his son CJ Lawlor, and connected with Rob, the course starter, and Charlie, the course ranger, who helped make the day smooth and memorable. Wyncote gives you room off the tee, but it is far from easy. Rolling fairways, strategic bunkering, and constant wind exposure make shot placement everything. This is one of those courses where patience, trust, and playing smart together really pays off. Maryland is officially State #19 on our journey to play golf together in all 50 states, and this stop delivered from start to finish. We teed it up at PB Dye Golf Club, one of the most visually intimidating and rewarding golf courses in Maryland. From the very first tee shot, PB Dye challenges you mentally with blind shots, rolling terrain, and dramatic elevation changes that demand strategy and commitment. What made the experience even better was meeting the people who bring this place to life. We sat down with Pete Collins to talk about the course, the vision, and what makes PB Dye so special. We also met Steve Bosdosh and Debbie Bosdosh from the Steve Bosdosh Golf Academy. And yes, we even got to meet the Bosdosh Academy team mascot, Shilow, which was a fun and memorable surprise. Huge thank you to Dan the Marshal for helping guide us through this challenging course and making the day even better. PB Dye is bold in the best way. Deep pot bunkers, multi-tiered greens, railroad tie edging, and undulating putting surfaces keep you locked in on every hole. This is a course that rewards precision over power, even when the fairways look wide open. Between the iconic island green on Hole 2 and the dramatic waterfall greens on Holes 9 and 18, every stretch of this course leaves an impression. One of our favorite traditions is our Challenge Hole, where we take on Hole 17 at every course we play. At PB Dye, Hole 17 is a par 3, and this one was a good one. With pressure, precision, and a lot of encouragement, it turned into one of the most memorable moments of the round. This round had everything.
